Time by time after days of heavy work, our body feels the need for a refreshing drink that will give us a bit of refreshment.  If we then decide not to go for industrial fruit juices or carbonated soft drinks, we can go for a natural herbal refreshing tea or drink and prepare these teas by ourselves. often at times, with ingredients found in our kitchen or any fruit market shops nearby, which, in addition, is very good for our health.

Here we have chosen these special 5 refreshing natural teas or drink to try;

Refreshing turmeric and ginger tea:

This refreshing and soothing herb allows you to create delicious and healthy fresh teas.  Turmeric is a spontaneous and perennial plant with broad leaves and yellow flowers.

The root is what is being used above all. It has excellent nutritional and beneficial properties to health and overall well being. Its anti-inflammatory and digestive qualities are much appreciated.

Last but not least it has antioxidant and anticancer properties. Making a tea or drink with the ingredients will go a long way in giving your body great benefits and above all a relaxed mind. You can add it with other ingredients, and in this case, we are using ginger. 

Ingredients
1 1/2 tsp of turmeric
1 1/2 tsp of ginger
water

Directions
In this case, it better best to use turmeric roots instead of the powder form. Grate the ginger and turmeric roots with a granter and let them rest, Then boil hot water in an electric jug or boiler.

When water is hot, turn off the heat and pour the water into the grated turmeric and ginger roots. Let the tea cool down and it will take on the typical yellowish color of the spices.

Add natural sweetener, ( this is optional) although it would be better to drink it without adding anything. With a sieve strainer, pour the liquid into a bottle or jar, you can consume immediately while it is hot like a tea or you can place it in the refrigerator to drink later, as a refreshing cool drink.

To get the maximum benefit from the herbal tea the ideal daily dose is one cup a day, it is advisable not to go beyond 3 days from the preparation.  

Refreshing mint tea

Is an aromatic herb that is easy to grow in the garden, its intense odor makes its presence pleasant and allows us to use it for various uses, from food to cocktails and refreshing natural tea and drinks as in our case.

Mint has disinfectant qualities and is useful in cases of intestinal problems favoring the functioning of the liver by promoting digestion. Mint teas help in the case of problems related to poor digestion or malfunction of the intestine but also in the case of respiratory infections thanks to menthol.

In any case, it is an excellent tea or drink to bring relief to the entire body.

Ingredients
Mint Leaves
Grated ginger
Honey (optional)
Water

Directions
Put the water in the pot and bring it to the boil, turn off the heat and put the mint leaves after cutting them into small pieces with the knife so that they release the aroma and add the grated ginger.

Once cooled a bit you can consume immediately as a tea or transfer it to a jar or bottle and put in the fridge to drink later, as a refreshing drink. You can also sweeten to taste with natural sweetener or honey.

Karkade refreshing herbal tea:

This natural ingredient is originated from (Ethiopia) is obtained from hibiscus flowers, with Its typical and unmistakable red color and sour taste.

The leaves must be dried. Among the various properties, it has the antiseptic properties of the urinary tract and is a good depurative, also it is a well known relaxing tea, it has excellent purifying and digestive effects. As a herbal tea, it is particularly healthy and refreshing. 

Ingredients
40 grams of dried hibiscus flowers
1 liter of water

Directions
Bring the water to a boil, turn off the heat and pour the flowers and then cover everything with a lid and leave to rest for 10 minutes so that the infusion is created.

Once the herbal tea has cooled, filter with a sieve, so as to remove the impurities and then consumed warm as a tea or transfer to a jar or bottle and place it in the fridge for later consumption as a refreshing herbal drink.

This tea is also enriched with vitamin C. It refreshes you and makes your day more enjoyable. 

Lemon balm refreshing  tea:

Can’t sleep at night because of depression, anxiety or any health problems? Lemon balm herbal tea is the one for you because of its sedative properties, It calms the body and relaxes the muscles making you enjoy a good night rest.

It is one of the best natural products in existence. It can also be combined with other plants such as lavender or rosemary, for a good healthy refreshing tea.   

Ingredients
40 grams of dried lemon balm leaves Or
fresh lemon balm leaves
Water

Directions
Boil the water in a pot or electric kettle,  pour into the dried or fresh leaves and leave to rest covering it with a lid.

Once the herbal tea has cooled a bit, filter with a sieve, and then enjoy your warm tea or pour it into a jar or a bottle. Put in the refrigerator to drink later as a cool refreshing drink. Your goodnight herbal tea is ready. Enjoy!

Chicory herbal tea:

This is an ingredient with multiple nutritional and beneficial properties, it is known for its purifying and in general detoxifying properties, rich in K vitamins and chlorophyll.

It is possible to eat it both raw and cooked, Infusions are good anti-stress, while the abundance of chlorophyll makes it rich in iron and is therefore very popular in vegetarian and vegan foods.

Chicory leaves Or
Dried leaves of Chicory 
Water

Directions
Bring the water to boil, and pour into the leaves covering it with a lid, do not exceed 10 minutes infusion time. Then filter with a sieve.

You can consume as a tea while is still warm or transfer in a jar or bottle and put in the fridge to consume later as a drink. it is advisable to drink it periodically throughout the day, because of its detoxifying effect on the body.
