The State Security Service has been ordered to pay N20 billion to agitator Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, for the alleged invasion of his house in Ibadan by an Oyo State High Court.
In the action brought by Mr Igboho, who was seeking N500 billion in damages for the invasion, Justice Ladiran Akintola decided that the money was granted as exemplary and aggravated damages against the SSS.
In the early hours of July 1, the secret police raided Mr Igboho's residence in the Soka neighborhood of the city. During the invasion, at least two people were slain.
