Nnamdi Kanu: IPOB takes protest to Amnesty Int’l


Following the alleged assault by security operatives on some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who protested yesterday, in parts of the country, calling for the immediate release of the controversial Director of Radio Biafra and Leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, Vanguard gathered on Wednesday, that the separatist movement has sent a petition to Amnesty International (AI).

Kanu, was arrested in Lagos, last Saturday, by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), when  he arrived Nigeria from his United Kingdom base.

Irked by his continued detention, thousands of his supporters comprising women and youths protested across parts of Rivers, Delta, Enugu, Abia and Anambra States, calling for his immediate release by the Nigerian authorities
