The Ligue 1 winners of Algeria, CR Belouizdad, knocked out the Nigeria Professional Football League champions.

They were unable to expand on their first-leg lead in the preliminary round after conceding two late goals in Algeria late on Sunday.

The next round of Champions League games will be held between October 15 and 17, with the second leg taking place between October 22 and 24.
