According to the EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, the chief of the anti-graft agency, received medical care after feeling ill during a public function.
Mr Bawa, on the other hand, is in good health and “is due back at his desk,” according to an EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, in a Thursday statement.
Mr Bawa was said to have collapsed while addressing at the National Identity Day ceremony at the Presidential Villa in Abuja earlier today.
According to the DailyTrust newspaper, Mr Bawa fainted on stage while speaking at an event at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Other attendees allegedly aided him and transported him to an unknown hospital in Abuja for treatment.
Mr. Uwujaren has now recounted the EFCC's version of events at the occasion.
“This explanation became necessary as a result of an event today, September 16, 2021, in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, when he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt sick, and had to return to his seat,” according to the announcement.
“He has subsequently gotten medical care and is scheduled to return to his desk,” added the spokesman.
