COVID-19: Nigeria records two deaths, 337 new cases Friday

 

On Friday, the coronavirus pandemic claimed two lives in Nigeria, with 337 new cases reported across 15 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lagos topped the infection ranking once again with 142 cases, according to the (NCDC) in a Facebook post.

With the additional instances, the overall number of illnesses in the country has risen to 201,129, with 2,649 deaths.

According to the disease center, 189,608 patients have been cleared and released, while 9,039 remain sick.

Breakdown
Apart from Lagos, which has the highest daily infection rate, Rivers, Edo, and Delta States follow with 32, 30, and 25 instances on the log, respectively.

Kwara State came in second with 23 instances, followed by Oyo with 16, Plateau with 12, and the FCT with 11 cases.

 

 


In addition, the states of Akwa Ibom and Kano each had ten instances, Ogun had three, and Ekiti, Gombe, and Imo each had two.

With a single instance, Nasarawa State was last on the list.

The centre also stated that no cases were recorded in the states of Sokoto and Zamfara on Friday.
