On Saturday, five more people died in Nigeria as a result of the coronavirus epidemic, with 336 new cases reported throughout 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This was revealed in a post on the's Facebook page on Saturday night.
According to the data, the overall number of people infected with the pandemic in Nigeria is now 201,630, with 2,654 deaths.
According to the disease center, 190,288 Nigerians have been released across the country.
The new cases included a backlog of 48 cases from Benue State for September 7, 17, and 18, 2021, according to the report.
Breakdown
According to the data, Lagos State, which is the epicenter of sickness in Nigeria, reported 86 cases. Benue State came in second with 48 cases, while Rivers State followed in third with 46 cases.
Bauchi State comes in second with 41 cases, followed by Edo with 25 cases and the FCT with 19 cases.
The state of Akwa-Ibom reported 13 cases, followed by Ondo State with 12 cases and Anambra with 11.
Eight instances were reported in Ekiti State, while seven cases were reported in Kwara and Plateau States, both in the North-central area.
The states of Bayelsa and Kaduna each reported four cases, while Delta and Ogun each reported two, and Kano was last on the list with a single incidence.
The NCDC also stated that no new cases were detected on Saturday in four states: Imo, Osun, Oyo, and Sokoto.
