Serbia’s tennis star Novak Djokovic defeated Italy’s Matteo Berrettini to become the 2021 Wimbledon champion.
Djokovic came from a set down to win three sets to one: 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 to clinch his sixth Wimbledon title.
Also, he has now tied Roger Federer’s and Raphael Nadal’s men’s record of 20 major singles titles.
Djokovic is now the first man to win the first three Majors of the year since Rod Laver in 1969.
Also, he is the fifth man in history to win the first three Grand Slam tournaments of the season, emulating Jack Crawford (1933) Don Budge (1938), Lew Hoad (1956) and Rod Laver (1962, 1969).
He can make it a calendar Grand Slam if he wins the US Open later in the year.
